No one ever said that parenting is simple, but having some different techniques in your arsenal can make things a little easier. Most parenting techniques aren't black and white. You don't have to fully-commit to the the ideals of a certain set of beliefs, or be a registered cardholder to reap the benefits of these parenting techniques.

There is certainly no one RIGHT way to parent! To me, the best parents find out what works well for their children, family, lifestyle, and then implements a that style and beliefs consistently.

Responsible Thinking Process

I was originally introduced to the Responsible Thinking Process (RTP) when I was working as an assistant Teacher in a Kindergarten classroom. The lead Teacher used it as her preferred discipline method, and the school was considering adopting it throughout all of the classrooms.

The basic concept is that children should be taught to be responsible for their actions without discipline, rewards, or special treatment.
