The "all-over" Cream with Lavender (and Frankincense)

This cream is very versatile. Because all of the ingredients are edible (as long as you purchased high-quality ingredients!), you can use this for chapped lips, cheeks, dry skin, face cream, under-eye lotion, and it's safe for use on small children! I carry a jar of this in my purse at all times, and use it for just about everything!
Ingredients:
  • Coconut Oil
  • Shea Butter
  • Young Living Lavender Oil
  • Young Living Frankincense Oil (optional)
Materials:
  • Measuring Cups
  • Large Bowl
  • Hand or Stand Mixer
  • Spatula
  • Jars with lids
Directions:
For each 4-ounce (or quarter pint) jar, follow these steps:
  • Use a measuring scoop to dig out 1/2 cup coconut oil, and remove about 2 tablespoons of the oil from the scoop
  • Put the Coconut Oil into a large bowl
  • Add 2 tablespoons of Shea Butter to the bowl
  • Use the mixer to whip the ingredients together until it resembles a thick buttercream frosting (resist eating it, it does not taste as good as it looks, TRUST ME!)
  • Add 5 drops of Young Living Essential Oil
  • Whip to evenly distribute the scent throughout the mixture
  • Smell to see if you'd like to add more Lavender.
  • If you'd like to add Frankincense, use 5 drops per jar to start, and add more as desired. Whip to incorporate.
  • Spoon mixtures into jars, trying to maintain the fluffy texture. If you "smash" it into the jars, you'll change the consistency.
